With the summer holidays coming, it’s time to start packing your bags and getting ready to go on vacation. But what if you’re not really sure what you need to pack? This holiday packing list with vacation must-haves contains everything from jeans and t-shirts to makeup products and toothpaste, but also essential items that are crucial to have on holidays, such as suncream, flip flops, and travel towels. Whether you’re going to Ibiza or the Maldives, this checklist will be your life-saver!
Summer Holiday Packing List: The Essentials
Beach towel – This should be your number one priority when it comes to any beach getaway. With a good beach towel, you can lie down on a sandy shoreline, lounge in a grassy meadow, or lay out under blue skies and sleeping stars. A large plush microfiber beach towel is both functional and comfortable. If you’re only going away for a short amount of time, think about bringing along a super lightweight travel towel (available at most convenience stores). Sandals – If you plan on hitting up lots of beaches, sandals are essential footwear.
Summer Holiday Packing List: Things You Will Need
Just some of what you’ll need for a relaxing, stress-free vacation is below. Go through each checklist before heading off on your trip to ensure you have everything packed. In addition to clothes and other travel necessities, make sure that your electronic devices are fully charged before you go! We have also included our favourite items from those brands to make it easier for you to find exactly what we’re talking about. Happy travels! Note: It’s always a good idea to double check your destination’s requirements when travelling internationally as well as any specific prerequisites (e.g. vaccinations or visas) beforehand too.
Add Some Style – Accessories and Jewellery
Add a pop of color to your outfit with a bold-colored hat, belt or scarf. Wearing a hat is one of my favorite ways to travel because it covers up any bad hair days and gives your look a fun and unique twist. Feel free to throw on jewelry as well, even if you don’t normally wear it day-to-day. It can be fun and add some extra glamour!
Start Preparing Before your Holiday
Preparation is key to having a stress-free experience on your trip. Make sure you know where you’re going and how to get there beforehand. And, be sure to research any place you plan on staying and read reviews of popular attractions so that you have some idea of what to expect when you arrive. Once there, bring a day pack or small suitcase so that you can take care of necessities like sunscreen and bug spray quickly while out exploring—it might feel like overkill to carry everything with you in your backpack, but it’s worth it not have to remember these essentials later in your travels. Another good tip is bringing a power bank; most people find themselves low on battery at some point during their journey.
The Final Touch – Pack all of your items into one Suitcase
When you arrive at your destination, take your day clothes out of your suitcase and put them into a drawer or hanging bag. Leave everything else in your suitcase for easy access. When you get home, empty everything out of your suitcase and give it a quick wash. No more piles of dirty clothes to deal with!
A Few Things That Aren’t On My List But Should Be On Yours
Travel toiletries. Packing your favourite brands of moisturizer, toothpaste and body wash is a no-brainer. But if you’re going somewhere tropical or visiting friends and family in a new city, think about bringing travel sizes of your other essentials, too. Conditioner will make you feel like there’s something extra special happening to your hair in transit. Moisturizing face mask can instantly refresh after a long flight. And ibuprofen or pain relief cream can do more than just ease headaches (the same applies for menstrual cramps).
